MWI Property Group Finalist for Industrial BTS of the Year

Oak Brook, IL – October 2025 – MWI Property Group is honored to have been selected as a finalist at the 38^th Annual NAIOP-Chicago Awards for Excellence forIndustrial Build-to-Suit Development of the Year for Project Spartan located at 1201 Humbracht Circle, Bartlett, IL.  This planned spec building, on land MWI owned, morphed into a 207,187 SF build-to-suit for sale to facilitate Axium Packaging’s continued manufacturing growth in the west suburbs of Chicago.  The facility on 13.4 acres featured 36’ clear ceiling height, 31 dock positions, onsite trailer parking, 60’ speed bay, two 4,000 amp services and concrete pads for Axium’s silos.  MWI effectively navigated through a  complex transaction structure and a geotechnically challenged site to secure another advanced manufacturing facility for the Brewster Creek Business Park and area. 

The Lee & Associates team of Michael J. Androwich Jr., Chris Nelson and John Cassidy represented MWI and Frank Griffin of Lee & Associates represented Axium Packaging.  MWI Construction was the general contractor, Partners In Design the architect and V3 Companies the civil engineer.
