MWI Expands Presence in Jacksonville, FL with Acquisition of 37 Acres

JACKSONVILLE, FL – August, 2025 – MWI Property Group (MWI) is pleased to announce the acquisition of two fully entitled development sites totaling 37 acres in Jacksonville, Florida. This acquisition marks the company’s third and fourth site acquisitions in the city and the Westlake Industrial Park in Jacksonville’s Westside submarket.
Their development plan includes the construction of two Class A industrial buildings, totaling approximately 440,000 SF, as shown on the site plan above. MWI intends to commence speculative construction after the lease up of its current project in Jacksonville — the two-building, 530,000 SF Westlake Commerce Center. They are currently completing pre-construction activities and site preparation work while marketing the site to companies for build-to-suit. Once development is complete, it will increase MWI’s presence in the Jacksonville market to four buildings and nearly a million SF.
Jacksonville offers unmatched connectivity with access to major highways (I-95 and I-10), a top-tier deepwater port (JAXPORT), multiple rail lines and an international airport. Its location makes it ideal for efficient shipping, distribution and access to regional, national and global markets.
